High School

Welcome to our high schools gateway page!  The links in the menu at left will take you to the websites for our four high schools:
  • Rio Rancho Cyber Academy, 1330 Jackie Rd. SE. features a "blended learning" model where students complete coursework online at home and also attend classes at the Cyber Academy's computer lab.  This gives students the opportunity to receive face-to-face coaching from the faculty and to participate in projects with their fellow students.  Admission is by interview only, and the school usually has a waiting list.  (School profile)
  • Independence High School, 420 Quantum Rd. NE, serves students who need a smaller school atmosphere and/or extra support in their pursuit of a diploma.  The school's award-winning JAG (Jobs for America's Graduates) program helps students acquire the confidence and skills needed to succeed beyond high school.  Its GRADS program and related services support young families and provides daycare for students' children.  Students are referred by staff at the comprehensive high schools and admission is by interview.  (School profile)
  • Rio Rancho High School, 301 Loma Colorado Dr. NE, provides an academically-rigorous curriculum coupled with a full program of fine arts, athletics, student activities and clubs, and other extracurricular and co-curricular offerings.  Its student government, DECA, and Marine JROTC programs routinely win top state-level awards, and its Rams athletic teams have notched nearly 40 state championships in the school's 20-year history.  The school is known for its Advanced Placement (AP) programs, and graduation rates routinely exceed the national average.  (School profile)
  • V. Sue Cleveland High School, 4800 Laban Rd. NE, opened in 2009 and has already made its mark as an academic and athletics powerhouse.  Usually referred to simply as "Cleveland High," the school offers a competition-caliber CyberPatriot cyber-defense class and club, one of a handful of urban FFA (Future Farmers of America) programs in the country, first-class student government, Army JROTC, and other student activities and programs, and challenging AP and other academic offerings.  As at RRHS, graduation rates exceed national averages.  CHS's athletics teams have already taken home 24 state championships in just seven years.  (School profile
